Tornado 7/20/2009 Just southwest of Wichita6 viewsI ran out the door around 5:30pm and headed to west Wichita trying to head off this small cell. Just as I was getting close the tornado watch turned into a warning and reports of a spotted tornado was on the ground. I was maybe 20 miles away when I could just make out the faint shape of the ground debris. This is the greatly enhanced photos I caught. It quickly became rain wrapped and I didn't continue following since it was such a small cell.

Clowley County Storm 2009-06-1210 viewsI was on my lunch break when i noticed this storm to the south east. I stopped at a good vantage point even though it was at least 50 miles away and started shooting. It soon because tornado warned and I got some shots of this obviously rain wrapped tornado. Well ok not really, but I could tell something was there from the way the rain was banding together.
