Surprisingly good

I’m sitting here watching my live home cam and it seems to be performing really well. If you notice that’s the neighborhood mailbox with a streetlight on the other side of the intersection. It actually sees the box just as good as I do. So I’d hHave to say I this little guy is going to get a brother here really soon.

HD webcam is up

I just received my Microsoft HD Cinema webcam in the mail and have it running as my home cam. It seems to be doing a pretty good job compared to it’s 6 year old predecessor. I’ll have it streaming live video as long as possible for testing purposes.

I still have some tweaking to do of the website to get my widgets working showing local weather. Speaking of local weather when I changed the batteries on my weather station I forgot to hit the reconnect button so I have to climb back up on the roof and get it working again. Then of course training my kids not to mess with the computer all these gadgets are hooked up to.

Anyways it’s all starting to come together to begin the storm season next month. I can’t wait!!

Another webcam down

Well one of my stupid logitech quickcam 4000′s that I use for the home cam died. Guess I’ll be ordering a nice replacement here soon. I rather have manual focus if that’s possible with today’s webcams. I did order a Microsoft CinemaHD for my truck so I’ll test that out as the home cam till this storm season kicks in.
